Questions
Good to know.
How is the fee calculated for my country?
Fees are adjusted by Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) using IMF World Economic Outlook data. A member in Switzerland and a member in Kenya pay amounts that represent an equivalent economic burden in their own countries — the same methodology used by the UN, World Bank and OECD for equitable international pricing.
Is this a one-time payment or a subscription?
One-time. Your membership is valid for twelve months from the date of payment. We will email you a renewal invitation ahead of the expiry; there is no automatic recurring charge.
My country is not a G20 member — can I still join?
Yes, warmly. Members from countries outside the G20 join as Global Members. You will receive our communiqués, participate in the Knowledge Network, and are invited to attend the Annual Summit. Global Membership does not come with a formal national chapter, which follows the G20 framework by design.
What payment methods are accepted?
Cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), iDEAL (Netherlands), SEPA direct debit (EU), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link. Checkout is handled securely by Stripe.
Can I get a receipt or VAT invoice?
Yes — Stripe issues a receipt automatically. For a formal invoice with organisational details (company name, VAT number, address), please email the Secretariat after payment.
Where does my membership fee go?
Fees fund the Secretariat's coordination work, the Annual Summit infrastructure, and the publication of the G20 CHEA Communiqué. We publish a simple annual accounting for members.
